Milestone Celebrations

What it is

Some of our favourite weeks have had nothing to do with a wedding. A woman turning sixty who wanted her forty closest people at a mezcal palenque in Oaxaca. A couple renewing vows after twenty-five years on the same Cabo beach they honeymooned on. Three generations of one family in a hacienda for Thanksgiving.

These celebrations have their own logic. There’s usually one host, a guest list that spans ages five to eighty-five, and a desire for the week to feel generous rather than produced. We’re very good at that.

How we think about it

A villa buyout is often the right answer: private, flexible, with a chef who becomes part of the story. We handle the parts that make hosts anxious (airport transfers for eighteen different flights, a doctor on call, the babysitters) so the host can actually be a guest.
