A leadership offsite on the Pacific

The brief

A fast-growing healthcare company needed to bring its top sixty-four leaders together for the first time since a merger. The mandate: real strategy work in the mornings, real bonding in the afternoons, and a final night that felt like a reward rather than a conference.

What we did

We ran an RFP across Los Cabos, Mexico City and Punta Mita with flight costs modelled from the team’s eleven home cities; Punta Mita won on both price and vibe. We negotiated a partial resort buyout with a soft attrition clause and handled every credential for the gated peninsula.

Mornings ran in a purpose-built session tent on the lawn, open on three sides to the ocean, with an AV team from Guadalajara. Afternoons were optional and everyone opted in: surfing in Sayulita, a fishing charter, a ceramics workshop. The final dinner was set on the beach, sixty-four seats at four long tables, with awards presented between courses and a mariachi finale the CEO still hasn’t lived down.

The detail people remember

Every attendee got a welcome box on their pillow: a Punta Mita surf-wax bar, a hand-blown glass from Tonalá and a handwritten note from their manager. The HR team told us it did more for the merger than the sessions.
